EAA 1073, Truckee CA
After flying Young Eagles for more than 25 years we decided it just wasn't safe to be flying them during our inclement months here in Truckee/Tahoe. We now only fly Young Eagles from April trough October.
We also offer All Expenses Paid one week adventure to attend our EAA Air Academy. We accept the required 250 word essay on "why I would love to attend the Air Academy" beginning in September through the end of December. The earlier you boy or girl gets this their essay in gives them a much better chance of going. Have a look at the Young Eagle program at www.EAA.org for detailed information.

Fun and discovery combine for an experience that young people can find nowhere else at the EAA Air Academy, a series of weeklong camps designed to introduce young people ages 12-18 to the aviation world. Campers are engaged through a variety of hands-on activities while staying at the Air Academy Lodge. Experienced aviation instructors help them delve into flight through studies, hands-on demonstrations, flight simulation, and other exciting activities.
