After flying Young Eagles for more than 25 years we decided it just wasn't safe to be flying them during our inclement months here in Truckee/Tahoe. We now only fly Young Eagles from April trough October.
We also offer All Expenses Paid one week adventure to attend our EAA Air Academy. We accept the required 250 word essay on "why I would love to attend the Air Academy" beginning in September through the end of December. The earlier you boy or girl gets this their essay in gives them a much better chance of going. Have a look at the Young Eagle program at www.EAA.org for detailed information.

Here is a little history on EAA1073:
Back in 1995 we needed 10 people to pay $100 each to bring an EAA chapter to Truckee Tahoe and I was one of them. At that time I was running our airshow along with working nearly 7 days a week so I was not interested in a board position.

The 4th of July on this social distanced year was celebrated by hosting a number of C-47s / DC-3s and a Harpoon to do a flyover of Truckee, Donner Lake, Lake Tahoe and the vicinity. These magnificent planes salute our history and are a joy to see.
